Provided programming for field controls for total of (7) multi axis positioners. Each positioner was a unique welding machine. Sequence of steps was provided with each step looking for proximity switches and energizing solenoids. (2) Keyence Floor Scanners was used for safety with each system. Operator screens were provided to assist with troubleshooting and basic assistance. Aggressive run-off dates were provided but every target was made.
Updated three different Kettle Controls for a food manufacture. Allen Bradley controls used to automate system. Keeping cost down one master CompactLogix PLC was purchased with multiple Point IO stations. Each station needed its own small panelview for operators to manage.
Allen Bradley family controls integrated with Fanuc robots. Total of 10+ Ethernet IP address communicating with ComplactLogix PLC, Remote IO, Kinetix Servo's , VFD's, Operator Interface integrated with (3) Fanuc Robots. Induction heaters manage heating product with servo presses providing the extrusion process.
Cell consist of 25+ Ethernet IP addresses talking to a ControlLogix PLC. This cell has a total of seven Fanuc Robots, one utilizing vision software to locate part position. Another using a 7th axis on a rail system to transfer material. Multiple Operator Screens were used to access machines in the cell and provide operator control. Data Collection was provided by using Ignition Software. Providing useful information to the supervisors and engineering team.
Utilizing a range of controls to simplify the automation process. Systems involved a large ControlLogix PLC, Kinetix Servo's, VFD's, Operator Interface Stations, and several Fanuc Robots. Communication network consisted of Ethernet drops to new equipment and Data Highway Plus to existing equipment. Part tracking and system control provided the operators and supervisors assistance that they required.
Updated an old relay logic system and developed a semi-new system integrated in with existing PLC's. Remote IO was added to simplify electrical wiring. Also two Panelview Plus stations were added to assist with cell operation. We added three Fanuc Robots to deal with material handling.
Development and communication was established months in advance to provide a seamless transition during startup. Downtime was limited during this transition into this new project. All the preparation was key to provide a one week install and startup of this new equipment.
Client called asking if we could troubleshoot his machine. We quickly scheduled a visit and while looking things over we noticed that the machine was working correctly and that the product that they were attempting to test was different. We made necessary wiring and PLC code modifications to make this happen.
